These terms explain the rules for using our website and the agreement between you and Educad when you book lessons. Please read them alongside our Cancellation & Refund Policy and Privacy Policy.

1. About us

2. Using our website

• The information on this website is general information about our services. We try to keep it accurate and up to date, but it may change.
• Please don't misuse the website, for example by trying to gain unauthorised access, introducing viruses or sending automated or spam enquiries.
• The text, logo and design of this website belong to us, and the photos are used under licence. Please don't copy them without our permission.

3. Booking lessons

After your free consultation, we'll confirm the details of your lessons in writing, including the subject, lesson times, tutor and price. Your agreement with us starts when you accept those details. Lessons currently take place online. In-person lessons may be offered in future.

4. Fees and payment

• Lessons are invoiced monthly in advance, and payment is due [before the first lesson of the month].
• Prices are confirmed in writing before lessons start. We'll give you at least [one month's] notice of any price change.
• Bring a friend: when you introduce a new student who starts regular lessons, you and they each get £5 off per hour [for as long as both continue lessons].
• More than one student: families registering two or more students get a discounted rate, which we'll confirm in writing.

5. Cancelling, rearranging and stopping lessons

Cancelling a lesson with at least 48 hours' notice is free. Later cancellations and missed lessons are charged in full. There's no minimum term, and you can stop lessons at any time. Full details are in our Cancellation & Refund Policy.

6. Your 14-day right to cancel

You have 14 days from agreeing to lessons to cancel without giving a reason. If you've asked us to start lessons during that time, you'll pay for any lessons already delivered.

7. What we promise

• All our tutors are qualified teachers or tutors who specialise in the subjects they teach.
• We'll provide lessons with reasonable care and skill, and send you a monthly progress report.
• We can't guarantee particular grades or exam results, because these depend on many things outside our control.

8. What we ask of you

• Make sure the student is ready on time, with any materials they need and, for online lessons, a working device and internet connection.
• Tell us about anything that might affect the student's learning or wellbeing.
• Treat our tutors with respect. We may end lessons if a tutor is treated abusively.

9. Safeguarding

Keeping students safe is our priority. If you have any concern about a student's safety or wellbeing, contact us straight away at register@educad.uk.

10. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. We aren't responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for problems caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as internet outages. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you've paid for the lessons concerned. These terms don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

11. Complaints

If you're unhappy with anything, please email register@educad.uk and we'll do our best to put it right quickly.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes won't affect lessons you've already paid for.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
